Prime Minister opens seed multiplication farm project

Prime Minister Sheikh Haisna inaugurated a ‘Seed Multiplication Farm Establishment Project’ in Dashmina upazila of the district on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, a helicopter of Bangladesh Army carrying Sheikh Hasina landed at Char Bashbaria under Dashmina upazila around 10:30am.
Confirming the matter, Dashmina UNO Kazi Toffael Hosain told banglanews, “During the inauguration, the Prime Minister was informed about primary information regarding the entire project.”
Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation`s (BADC), at a cost of Tk. 244.96 crores, is going to establish the seed farm to increase the production of quality agricultural seeds in the country.
The district administration of Patuakhali has already acquired 1,040 acres of land, along the coast of Bay of Bengal, for the seed multiplication farm, said the Dashmina UNO.
